ABOUT
Screenwise Children is a training and advisory service that will deliver a robust program of educational workshops, presentations and toolkits to teachers, parents and children around the impacts of smartphone use, how to set boundaries and establish healthy smartphone use.
We also support school leaders in making fundamental changes to policy and infrastructure, helping them to remove smartphones from the school day and communicate the changes to parents.
“Our fundamental intention is to protect children’s mental health, support their academic journey and allow them to enjoy their childhoods as much as possible.”

MISSION STATEMENT
‘Our mission is to work with schools in delaying smartphones for children, engaging communities and fostering a tailored and sustainable education around smartphones.’
OUR Story
Like many parents, we saw the swift, unsettling behavioral changes in our children after early exposure to screens. The addiction-like withdrawal we witnessed was a wake-up call!
We weren’t alone. Connecting with other concerned parents, we found Smartphone Free Childhood (SFC) and realised that together we are stronger. Our initial goal was to organize our local community to collectively delay giving children smartphones, and we took on the role of Regional Leads for Nottinghamshire to drive that movement.
However, as we delivered SFC parent talks, the feedback from teachers, school heads, and local leaders was unanimous: the need for reliable support was urgent.Screenwise was born from that demand. Our mission is to transform parental concern into informed, sustained action, empowering our entire community to protect childhood from premature digital exposure.
