our story

Like many parents, we saw the swift, unsettling behavioral changes in our children after early exposure to screens. The addiction-like withdrawal we witnessed was a wake-up call!

We weren’t alone. Connecting with other concerned parents, we found Smartphone Free Childhood (SFC) and realised that together we are stronger. Our initial goal was to organize our local community to collectively delay giving children smartphones, and we took on the role of Regional Leads for Nottinghamshire to drive that movement.

We’re grateful for the number of parents and teachers that have openly discussed their experiences with social media and smart phones.

However, as we delivered SFC parent talks, the feedback from teachers, school heads, and local leaders was unanimous: the need for reliable support was urgent.

Screenwise was born from that demand. Our mission is to transform parental concern into informed, sustained action, empowering our entire community to protect childhood from premature digital exposure.
